The refusal of the second planning application for development of the Mint Bridge site is a huge disappointment to the Club, its players and its members. Up until now we have not commented in the press about the planning process as we expected a fair and reasonable assessment of our plans. This is not what has happened.

Members will be disappointed to hear that despite a very clear recommendation to grant our application from the SLDC Planning Officers, our elected representatives made the reverse decision and voted 8 to 1 (with 2 abstentions) to refuse planning permission on the Mint Bridge site.
